The biggest house music DJ Contest of 2004 The Next Big Thing 2004 Rules

No purchase necessary. Contest will be open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia over 21 years of age who don't derive their primary income from professional DJing. Employees of Futuremusic, Inc., the sponsors of the Contest (“Sponsors”) their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and their family/household members are not eligible to enter.

Enter by recording a 60 minute, house music DJ mix on CD and sending it to Futuremusic, Inc., Columbus Circle Station, PO Box 20888, New York, New York, 10023, along with your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and age on the official entry form available for download at http://server1.streamsend.com/newstreamsend/signup.php?cd=158&ld=3. All submissions must be on a CD and must include the names of all tracks along with the names of the artist, record label, songwriter and publisher associated with each song. All entries must be postmarked by July 31, 2004. Multiple entries are not permitted. Neither Futuremusic, Inc. nor any Sponsors shall be responsible for lost, late, mutilated or misdirected mail or corrupted CDs. Entries that are tampered with, illegible or incomplete are not eligible. Winners will be selected based on mixing abilities and song selection. The winner will be selected under the supervision of Futuremusic, Inc. Participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions are final. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries received, and mixing talent. The winner will be notified by e-mail and/or phone by Futuremusic, Inc. The winner may have his or her audio submission appear on the Futuremusic.com website. Neither Futuremusic, Inc. nor the Sponsors make any warranties with regard to the prize. The prize is not transferable. No substitutions of the prize are allowed by the winner, but Futuremusic, Inc. and the Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The prize is not redeemable by the winner for cash value. All entries and requests become the property of Futuremusic, Inc. and may not be acknowledged or returned. Futuremusic, Inc. will have the right to photograph the winner. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name(s), picture(s), likeness(es), submission(s) and city and state of residence for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion for no additional compensation. The winner will be required to execute and affidavit of eligibility, compliance with contest rules, demonstration of DJ mixing skills and release of liability. All entrants release Futuremusic, Inc., the Sponsors and their affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this promotion or acceptance or use of the prize. Failure to execute and return any requested document within 15 days of postmark, or return of notification or prize as undeliverable, may result in forfeiture of the prize. An alternate potential winner may be selected at the sole discretion of Futuremusic, Inc. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the winner. Information collected herein will be used only as necessary to facilitate the operation of the Contest. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
