Urban Rhythm
Always Forward, Never Straight...
Urban Rhythm has been a fixture of New York City's scene for several years with his tribal brand of driving electronic music. By combining his African hand drumming roots with his own musical instrument inventions, Urban Rhythm has been able to break from the typical electronic music four on the floor stereotype to create truly innovative beats. Urban Rhythm's "Acid'n'Bass" stomper, Max A/C, was just awarded First Place in a recent Roland Songwriting Contest.
Urban Rhythm's musical diversity enables him to transgress styles from Drum'n'Bass to Hard Tribal House, making him hard to pin down in this genre-specific industry. From his The Theme From The X-Files remixes for Elektra to the banging Manhunt, its obvious that Urban Rhythm thrives on challenging himself.

Authentek
Moving on beyond layered sound. Recognizing the true real. Living on all levels of decibels. Sonic rebels.
Creating his own instruments from thrown away synthesizers, computers and other industrial waste, Authentek challenged himself to create a sound that no one else would be able to duplicate. During one excursion of his weekly "dumpster dives" he encountered another fixture of the neighborhood known only by his fondness for a certain herb, Killer Green. Killer Green was the Hell's Kitchen lovable, homeless ghost. One minute he would be there, the next minute, gone.
"He was always around, but never there," recalls an assistant to Peter Max, who often let him sleep on the floor of his loft. Unbeknownst to Authentek, KG was deep inside the same large dumpster. Authentek climbed in and was startled to see Killer Green fishing out an old Roland Juno 106 from underneath a pile of broken dry wall. KG looked over at Authentek and without hesitation asked if he could help him with the keyboard. Authentek quickly obliged and the two of them maneuvered the prized possession out of the dumpster.
"Can you play that?"
"Hell yeah," Killer Green replied.
"Show me."
Killer Green rested the keyboard on the sidewalk and worked the keys with precision. Since it wasn't plugged in, the only sound Authentek heard was the percussive strikes on the dusty keys.
"Why don't you come back to my recording studio and we'll plug it in?"
And that's how it began...

distorted electronic music. Bloke specializes in creating freestyle electronic music, and has released a number of cuts on various boutique labels in the middle east and
Europe. Look for Bloke's new release on July 15th.
